“I Turned Down $5m Dubai Gig Because I Won’t Be Allowed to Smoke Weed” – Burna Boy

Nigerian musician Burna Boy, real name Damini Ogulu, has recently declined a $5 million offer to play in Dubai.

Since marijuana use is prohibited in the United Arab Emirates, Burna Boy turned down the offer.
In Dubai, smoking is prohibited in parks, beaches, or other public recreation areas per Emirati law.

“I recently declined a five million dollar deal from Dubai because I don’t like to go places where people don’t agree to let me smoke igbo.”

This information was revealed by Burna Boy during his freestyle during a band practice with Outsiders, as shown in a video that went viral on the social networking site X.
