Ghanaian activist GlennSamm has reveal his ordeal in police custody following his detention during the Stop Galamsey protest.
Speaking on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, he described going two days without food, citing the poor quality of meals and his lack of cash. His family, unaware of his whereabouts, was unable to provide him with food.
Furthermore, he reveal that during his 16 days in detention, he was relocate between three police stations in Accra.
However, the Teshie Police Station detained him in a cramped cell with 27 other detainees, where poor sanitation and lack of ventilation intensified the already harsh conditions.
Additionally, Glenn also suggested that the police may have targeted him due to his appearance, believing they were focusing on specific individuals.
