“I Have No Properties Despite 40 years In Industry” – Aunty B

In a candid interview on Accra FM, Ghanaian actress Auntie B from Efiewura, born Harriet Naa Akleh Okante, opened up about how her youthful decisions have profoundly impacted her life.

Shedding light on the sacrifices and regrets that have defined her decades-long career.

She revealed that she chose not to have children, fearing it would interfere with her acting career. Completely absorbed in her work on set, she neglected to learn other trades or skills—a decision she now deeply regrets.

Furthermore, Auntie B acknowledged the truth in the saying “time waits for no man” as she grapples with the reality of having little to show beyond her fame.

She said

“Despite more than 40 years in the industry, I remain unmarried, childless, and without any property.”

“My first opportunity to travel internationally came through football, not acting, and that many of my personal possessions, like cars were gifts from private individuals.”

The actress made known with the decline of Kumawood, she has resorted to selling small items to make ends meet.
