The singer on Accra based HitzFm has divulged to the public his staying days in Ghana and how he substituted schooling for music.
According to Patoranking, he was admitted to the University of Cape Coast but had to rescind his admission because the school was taking tuition fees in dollars.
“The first time I came to Ghana, it was for the purpose of schooling. I got admitted to the University of Cape Coast but it wasn’t easy considering where I was coming from. International students too you pay in dollars” he told Andy Dosty.
Maintained by him, he hit the streets of Ghana to pursue his inborn talent and has to sleep in the slums for many years.
“I was homeless for a very long time when I was in Ghana” he added.
Patornaking who is currently not signed to any record label has promulgated that he do not want his creative freedom to be restricted by anyone, hence remaining indie.
Even more, he wished not to be hot but big.
