Written by Sarah Boye

Ghanaian actor Isaac Acheampong, popularly known as Kwame Ahenfie, shared intriguing insights about his unique life and career focused on entertaining the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

In an interview on The Delay Show, Ahenfie recounted his journey and deep-rooted connections to Manhyia Palace, the official residence of the Asantehene. Ahenfie revealed that he was born at Manhyia Palace and was among many people named Kwame, so he was differentiated with ‘Ahenfie,’ meaning Palace.

When asked about his job, he explained that besides acting, he dances to entertain Otumfuo. “I don’t dance at funerals unless it’s to entertain Otumfuo.

If a chief dies and Otumfuo attends the funeral, I dance to entertain him after he exchanges pleasantries,” he said.

This revelation has left Ghanaians in awe of his exceptional attributes.
