Renowed Ghanaian musician Kidi has revealed that he has toughened up his skin against sensational media headlines.
In a recent interview, Kidi reflected on his early days in the music industry and admitted that he initially struggled with the media’s portrayal of him, especially when headlines exaggerated his words, took them out of context, or stirred controversy.
“When I see sensationalised headlines now, I just laugh, But when I started out in music, I had a lot of issues with them. I didn’t understand then that sensationalism was part of getting people talking. Now, I know that by tomorrow, something new will come up and the conversation will move on.”
Kidi added that over time, he has accepted the way the media works, especially in the entertainment industry, where buzz and virality often outweigh nuance and accuracy.
