Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu, a music and media executive, has stated that if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) wins the 2024 elections, he is ready to work in any role.
When asked if he would mind serving as Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture if his party wins the election, he replied on Showbiz A-Z with Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM that he was willing to take on that position as well as any others the party might assign him.
Naturally, I would. I mean, I’ll be happy to play any part the future NDC government assigns me as long as it benefits both the nation and the state. However, why not if it is the ministry of tourism, arts, and culture? although any of them could. Whatever it is, I think that I’m psyched up, prepared myself and have been ready for this period.”
Baba Sadiq who officially launched his political career by vying for the parliamentary primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the Okaikoi Central Constituency, has been instrumental in the affairs of the party.
Prior to the 2020 election, he was part of the drafters of the tourism, arts and culture component of the NDC manifesto. He was also one of the people who were appointed to speak to issue regarding the arts in the arts sector.
The co-founder of 3Music Networks and the Wildaland Festival has spent his years in the creative industry working in the music and media space.
While he was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the 3Music Network, he supervised the establishment of the 3Music Awards.
