Former Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu has urged Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame to avoid appealing the Court of Appeal’s ruling that acquitted and discharged Minority Leader Cassiel Ato Forson.
The MP for Tamale South warned the AG that pursuing the appeal could lead to further embarrassment.
According to reports, the court’s ruling cleared Dr Forson and overturned the trial court’s order requiring him to present his defence in the ambulance case.
While celebrating Dr. Forson’s victory in Parliament, Iddrisu advised the Attorney General to accept the decision.
“I hear the Attorney General, instead of humbling himself, wants to continue this litigation. Mr Speaker, we assure him that further attempts will only lead to greater disgrace. If you wish to prosecute, do so on legally sound grounds,” he asserted.
