Hajia4Reall Enters A Guilty Plea In A $2 Million Romantic Scam Case.

Written by Louis

In a $2 million romance scam case, popular Ghanaian social media personality Mona Faiz Montrage, also known as Hajia4Reall, entered a guilty plea.

On the website of the US Attorney’s Office, the socialite entered a guilty plea to a single charge of conspiracy to receive stolen money.

There is a five-year maximum penalty for this charge. Hajia4Reall also consented to making repayments in the same amount and pay forfeiture of $2,164,758.41.

Paul A. Crotty, the U.S. District Judge, is set to sentence the social media celebrity later.

Damian Williams, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, made the guilty plea announcement.

Attorney Williams stated, “Mona Faiz Montrage was arrested abroad and now faces serious consequences for her actions. She knowingly received money stolen from older Americans through romance scams.”

He maintained that the elderly and weak victims of the romance scam suffered because they had to confront the harsh truth that their virtual romantic relationships were fictitious.

“This office and our law enforcement partners are relentless in bringing fraudsters who target Americans to justice, no matter where they are,” the attorney added.
