Hajia4Real, Faces Sentencing

Written by Sarah Boye

Ghanaian musician and socialite Hajia4Real, born Mona Faiz Montrage, is scheduled for sentencing today, June 28, 2024.

Her legal team requested a three-month sentence, emphasising her role as a single mother.
However, the US Attorney’s Office has countered this request, arguing for the full 37-month sentence and citing similar cases to underscore the need for a fair and deterrent punishment.

Adding to the complexity of the case, Hajia4Real has allegedly identified her daughter’s father as the person who introduced her to internet fraud.

She explained that she met Allison in 2015, fell in love with him in the US, and was initially unaware of his fraudulent activities.

It was only later that he involved her in these illegal schemes. As a result of these actions, Hajia4Real faces several serious charges, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud, conspiracy to launder money, money laundering, and receiving stolen money, which could result in a 10-year prison term.

Additionally, she faces a charge of conspiracy to receive stolen money, carrying a potential five-year sentence. In February 2024, she pleaded guilty to these charges.
