Minister for Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe, has announced that the government is actively pursuing partnerships to establish a national airline.
Addressing staff of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, he acknowledged that the country’s current economic challenges make it difficult to launch the project independently. However, a shortlist of potential partners will soon be mention as part of efforts to realise the national airline.
“We inherited a struggling economy, and at the moment, we cannot set up a national airline on our own,”That’s why we are seeking partnerships. It takes time to identify the right partners who can help establish a national carrier that will operate successfully for years to come.”He said
