Ghanaian rapper Medikal, privately known Samuel Adu Frimpong has called on the incoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to prioritise the welfare of Ghanaians.
In a recent interview, Medikal urged the government to avoid abusing their power and to make decisions that benefit the citizens. He emphasised that public office should be about serving the people, not pursuing personal interests.
“They should think about the country and its citizens more than themselves. They are coming to serve, but they shouldn’t misuse their authority,” Medikal stated.
Further, Medikal also highlighted that those in power should not feel entitled but should focus on making choices that positively impact the nation. Acknowledging that everyone, including himself, is prone to mistakes, he added,
“Nobody is perfect; sometimes I might do something without fully considering its impact. But as a human, I am bound to make mistakes.”
Additionally, he urged the NDC government to govern with mindfulness and always keep the best interests of the people in mind.
