A high-level government delegation has visited the Yagbonwura’s palace to appeal for the lifting of a ban imposed on the MP for Damongo Samuel Abu Jinapor.
According to reports, Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul led the delegation, which also included Chieftaincy Minister Stephen Asamoah Boateng and the Savannah Regional Minister.
Sources indicate that the Yagbonwura asked the delegation to return later since he mentioned that he would travel to the Mamprugu Kingdom on Sunday for a historic visit and would meet with them and his paramount chiefs at that time.
On July 21, 2024, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Soale Jewi imposed the ban on Samuel Abu Jinapor from entering any palace in Gonjaland, citing allegations of insubordination, disrespect, and misuse of government power.
