In a viral video, Archbishop Kofi Adonteng Boateng of the Divine Word International Ministries conferred the Reverend Minister status on Great Ampong.

During the ceremony, Archbishop Boateng urged Great Ampong to publicly apologise to those he had wronged, including fellow musician Daddy Lumba, which Great Ampong promptly did.

Known for his soul-stirring gospel hits like “Hossana,” “Akoko Funu,” and “Style Bia Bi,” Great Ampong has been a significant figure in Ghana’s gospel music scene for nearly two decades.

This ordination represents a major milestone in his spiritual journey and ministry.
