“Gospel Industry Plagued By Division”-Rev.Edward Kwasi Boateng

Written by Sarah Boye

Ghanaian gospel artist Rev Edward Kwasi Boateng has strongly disagreed with Prophet Nigel Gaisie’s assertion that gospel musicians are more united than prophets.

Over the weekend, founder of the Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Gaisie urged for greater unity among gospel preachers and criticised the ministry for its hostile environment. However, Rev. Boateng countered these claims, sharing his personal experience in an interview.

He argued that, rather than unity, the gospel industry is full with individuals who undermine one another.

“I had hoped my fellow musicians would support me during my difficult times last year, but instead, some criticised me (Diana Asamoah) and mocked the kindness people showed me. This is not the spirit of unity, I also know a gospel artist (O.J.) who wrote a song for two gospel musicians, and it caused conflict between them.”
