On Thursday, July 11, 2024, three veteran journalists will explore the future of journalism in Ghana during the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) 75th Anniversary Public Lecture series.
Communications expert and media freedom advocate Prof. Kwame Karikari, distinguished columnist and international journalist Cameron Duodu, and media consultant Dr. Akofa Segbefia will address the theme, “75 Years of Excellence in Journalism: Shaping the Future.”
Rev. Ruby Amable, a retired broadcaster from the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, will chair the event, while Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa, the Volta Regional Minister, will be the special guest.
This lecture is part of the GJA’s ongoing initiative to reflect on the history of journalism in Ghana and to envision its future, emphasizing the crucial role the profession has played in national development and democracy over the past 75 years.
The lecture will take place at the New Ho Municipal Assembly Hall, starting at 9:30 a.m.
