Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team head coach, Otto Addo, has come to the defense of his forwards following a disappointing goalless draw against Sudan in a 2025 AFCON qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium.
This result has drawn criticism from fans and analysts alike, who pointed to the team’s failure to capitalize on several clear scoring opportunities, marking their third consecutive match without a win in the qualifiers.
Despite the team’s struggles in front of goal, Addo remains optimistic about their attacking potential.
“Despite the recent difficulties, I believe our attackers will perform better in the next game. I have faith that they will score,” he stated.
Currently, Ghana sits in third place in Group F with just two points from three matches, while Sudan occupies the second spot with four points.
Further, the two teams will face off on Monday, October 14, at 13:00 GMT in Libya, a neutral venue chosen due to security concerns in Sudan.
