Ghanaian striker Jerry Afriyie has made a move from lower-league side Thoughts FC to Saudi Arabian club Al Qadsiya on loan.
Although the 20-year-old has signed a contract extending until 2028, he will, however, begin by spending the remainder of the current season on loan at Spanish third-tier club CD Lugo.
Afriyie’s rise to prominence began with his pivotal role in Ghana’s gold medal victory at the African Games, where he scored the decisive goal in the final against Uganda.
In addition, he was adjourn Best Player at the 2024 WAFU B U-20 Championship in Togo, where Ghana finished as runners-up.
Moreover, he earned the Golden Boot after scoring five goals in five matches.
As a result of his impressive performances over the past year, Afriyie has firmly established himself as one of the most promising talents in the game.
