The Ghana Police Service has refuted media reports claiming that Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has been dismissed as Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
In a statement, the Service noted that it has become aware of media claims that Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has been placed on leave.
“We urge the public to disregard this misinformation and treat it with the contempt it deserves,” stated Assistant Commissioner of Police Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs.
The statement emphasized that the IGP remains dedicated to his role of leading the police under the mandate given by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
