The Ghana Police Service, in an intelligence-led operation, has arrested 487 individuals connected to the Ponzi scheme known as QNET in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
According to the Police,they apprehended the suspects, including 257 females and 230 males, in a house at Adwuman near Kenyasi, a suburb of Kumasi.
Preliminary investigations revealed that these individuals lured unsuspecting victims from various parts of the country with false promises of lucrative investment returns.
Items recovered during the operation included registration documents and other materials bearing QNET logos. Twelve suspects identified as executives of the scheme—Gyereh Evelyn, Francis Kpesah, Samuel Musah, Simon Yakubu, Thomas Kotual, Kwasi Nyabi, Benjamin Nsigma, Elijah Musah, Moses Katu, John Balabon Tagnakibi, James Nogma, and Fidelis Bang-ib—are currently in police custody, assisting with the investigation.
The police have urged the public to be vigilant against such schemes and to report any suspicious activities.
