Ghana Highways Authority Announces Work On Atomic Bridge

The Ghana Highways Authority (GHA) has announced that it will undertake maintenance work on the Atomic Bridge.

Starting Thursday, October 3, 2024, the GHA will repair the bridge’s expansion joints. This project will run until Tuesday, October 22, 2024, with the aim of strengthening the bridge’s structural integrity and enhancing safety for drivers.

The GHA urges motorists to follow the instructions of the traffic management teams at the site and to exercise caution during the repairs.

The authority warns that traffic disruptions will occur, and motorists must adhere to the traffic management measures put in place by the engineers from the bridge Maintenance Unit.

“Motorists should consider using alternative routes if possible. Our engineering team will work from Thursday, October 3, 2024, to Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. each day.
