Ghana health Service has confirmed a second case of Mpox, following the diagnosis of a 15-year-old boy in September.
According to the Deputy Director of Disease Surveillance at the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Dennis Laryea, the new case involves the boy’s mother and assures the public that health authorities are taking all necessary precautions to contain the virus.
Additionally, health officials urge the public to remain vigilant, follow hygiene protocols, and promptly report any suspected symptoms to healthcare providers.
The Ghana Health Service has intensified public awareness campaigns and is collaborating with local health facilities to prepare for potential cases and monitor contacts of confirmed cases, particularly in affected communities.
