The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has revamped the Black Stars’ technical staff after reviewing the team’s performance in last year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
In a statement, the GFA announced key appointments aimed at strengthening the team. Thus, German coach Winfried Anton Schäfer has been choose as technical advisor to collaborate and work closely with Head Coach Otto Addo to build a competitive squad.
The GFA also added Desmond Ofei as an assistant coach, Belgian sports psychologist Kris Perquy, and UEFA License B coach Gregory De Grauwe, who will head the team’s video analysis unit.
The backroom staff will benefit from the expertise of two veteran equipment officers, Issah Amadou, formerly of Asante Kotoko, and Abdul Rahman Alhassan, formerly of Hearts of Oak.
