The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has issued a strong warning to the public, urging them to refrain from attacking its officers.
According to GAF, mobs have increasingly attempted to disarm military personnel deployed to support the Ghana Police Service in restoring order after the recent general elections.
The military reminded the public that its officers on authorised duty have the right to defend themselves, protect civilians, and safeguard property, including the use of lethal force when necessary to preserve lives.
Further, GAF called on citizens to act responsibly, respect security personnel, and avoid actions that could disrupt public peace.
Additionally, reaffirming its role, GAF pledged to uphold the stability and sovereignty of the nation.
