Ghana And South Africa Sign MOU On Defense And Training

Ghana and South Africa Military officials have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on defence and training cooperation to foster unity in Accra.

During a two-day closed-door Joint Defence Committee Meeting, they finalised the agreement to strengthen the existing Defence Cooperation Agreement from February 2023.

Director-General in Charge of Training at the Ghana Armed Forces Brigadier-General Winfried Dzandu-Hedidor, stated that the MOU will enhance collaboration between the two militaries, focusing on joint training for their personnel.

He emphasised that this cooperation aims to promote peace and security in the subregion and across the continent.
