Philip Appiah Kubi, the disqualified presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), also known as Roman Fada, has rejected claims that the GFP has endorsed the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking at a media briefing on Wednesday, December 4, Jerry Addo, who identified himself as the GFP’s Deputy General Secretary, announced that the party had decided to support the NDC after consultations with party executives.
In response, Philip Appiah Kubi denied the claim in an interview with Citi News, insisting that the GFP has not endorsed any political party.
“We have not endorsed any political party. It’s not that we have issues with either the NDC or NPP, but as the leader of the Ghana Freedom Party, along with my general secretary, four parliamentary candidates, and other executives, we have not endorsed any party,” he clarified.
Further, he assured the public that the GFP would announce its position at the appropriate time.
“With just a few days to election day, we will address this matter when the time is right,”
