The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has started the search for a new head coach for the Black Queens following Nora Hauptle’s departure.
In an interview, GFA Communications Director Asante Twum confirmed the association is working to make the appointment quickly.
“The GFA has begun selecting a new head coach after Nora Hauptle’s exit. We aim to hire a qualified coach who can continue the work Hauptle started, especially with the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) on the horizon. It’s crucial that we fast-track the process to give the new coach time to get to know the team.”Twum said.
Reports indicate Hauptle opt not to renew her two-year contract with the GFA and has since been head coach of Zambia’s Copper Queens.
