Former Ghanaian striker Hans Kwofie has tragically died in a car accident after his vehicle collided with another vehicle at Dadwen in the Ashanti Region.
According to Kwofie’s brother, who spoke to Citi News,
“We were all sitting here when it began raining. After it stopped, Kwofie mentioned that he hadn’t eaten since morning, so he went to get something to eat.
He drove to a chop bar in Dadwen with his friend. He asked me to go with them, but I refused because I wasn’t feeling well.
On their return, he crashed with a trotro, and both lost their lives.”
The former striker was a notable player in the Ghana Premier League.
He played for Heart of Lions, Medeama SC, Bechem United, Ashanti Gold , legon Cities and Aduana Stars before joining Nepal’s Birgunj United FC in 2023.
