Father Of O’Reilly SHS Stabbing Victim Demands Justice

Written by Sarah Boye

Enoch Bortei Sackey, father of the O’Reilly Senior High School student fatally stabbed by a classmate, has expressed his grief and demand for justice.

In an emotional interview, he admitted that seeing the accused in court stirs a desire for revenge, though he acknowledges the need to let the law run its course.

He noted that the case has sparked widespread outrage, with large crowds gathering at the La District Court, frustrated by delays in the judicial process. Despite the rising tension, Mr Sackey urged the public to remain calm and allow the court to handle the matter.

He also criticized the Ghana Education Service (GES) and O’Reilly SHS, accusing them of trying to cover up the tragedy. Dissatisfied with the lack of transparency, his family boycotted the latest meeting with GES.
