Renowed Footballer Jordan Ayew has hailed Chelsea legend Michael Essien as the greatest Ghanaian to ever compete in the English Premier League.
In a Showmax interview, Ayew expressed his admiration for Essien’s stellar career at Chelsea, where he was instrumental in the club’s success.
“There are many great players, but I always choose Michael Essien for his achievements in the Premier League and the trophies he won with Chelsea,” Ayew remarked.
Essien enjoyed a highly successful spell at Chelsea, winning multiple titles, including Premier League championships, FA Cups, the Champions League, the Europa League, the Community Shield, and the Carabao Cup.
Having joined Chelsea in 2005 under José Mourinho, Essien quickly became a key figure in the team as he made 162 appearances and scored 17 goals.
