Award-winning reggae and dancehall artist Epixode, known as Theophilus Nii Arday Otoo, revealed that he faced threats and backlash after releasing his hit song “Wahala Dey” in 2019.
In a recent interview on Channel One TV, he discussed the criticism he received upon the song’s debut. “
Oh, yes, I was attacked when I released ‘Wahala Dey’… It’s important for musicians to address issues in the country, but it can be perilous,” he said.
“Wahala Dey” tackles social issues and advocates for change, further establishing Epixode as a prominent voice for social justice.
