Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has stressed the importance of an efficient land administration system in driving Ghana’s economic growth, fostering social cohesion, and attracting investment.
Inaugurating the new Lands Commission Head Office in Accra on Monday, November 25, Dr Bawumia identified key challenges the Commission faced, such as reliance on manual records, file transfers across offices, and congestion. He stated that the completion of the modern facility directly addresses these issues and demonstrates the government’s commitment to advancing land management.
Further, Dr Bawumia outlined the government’s strategy to transform land administration, focusing on three key areas: modern infrastructure, digitalisation, and the automation of business processes.
“This facility is more than just a building; it marks a critical step in building a robust land administration system,”. By tackling these long-standing challenges, we are creating an environment that supports effective land management in Ghana.”
He described the new building as a significant milestone equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to enhance efficiency, transparency, and customer satisfaction.
