The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has urged political parties to accept the results of the upcoming December elections.
During the signing of the 4th Presidential Election Peace Pact in Accra on Thursday, November 28, the EC Chairperson expressed confidence in the Commission’s ability to conduct a peaceful and credible election. She highlighted the EC’s dedication to transparency, fairness, and accountability as critical steps in building public trust.
“As a commission, we have consistently shown our commitment to peace, knowing that peaceful electoral outcomes depend on our actions. From the beginning of the electoral process, we have deliberately operated in ways that promote peace before, during, and after the elections,” she said.
The EC Chairperson assured the public that the Commission has implemented strong measures to protect the integrity of the elections. She urged political parties, civil society organisations, and voters to uphold peace and unity to ensure a smooth and successful electoral process.
