The Electoral Commission blocked the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from broadcasting its meeting about the 2024 provisional voter register, despite the NDC’s plans to stream it live for transparency.
According to reports, the NDC initially requested this meeting on August 27 to address concerns about discrepancies in the voter register. After following up on September 5 with a request to broadcast the meeting scheduled for September 6, the EC declined.
This follows a report from Dr. Omane Boamah, the NDC’s Director of Elections, who assert that party representatives will ensure the meeting will streamed live for transparency.
