Drugs Ruined My Career, I Have to Steal Money From Offering Bowls to Satisfy My Addiction – Astute Radio Peace FM Presenter, Noah King

Eric Noah King, a radio host who peaked in the early 2000s, has stated that spirituality is the root cause of drug addiction.

He told Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z’s with Dadzie that after many years of doing drugs, he was finally able to break free from the shackles of addiction through prayer.

Speaking about his experience dealing with drug addiction, he advised people in similar situations to first have the will to change before seeking help in a rehab.

Noah King revealed that he began using drugs before beginning his radio career. He claimed that after finishing his O’Levels, he went to a club one day and after chatting with a lady, a friend suggested to him that he could boost his confidence in talking to women by using heroin mixed with weed. He was committed to it after his first experience.

The 46-year-old broadcaster also stated that he has been able to avoid using drugs for the past 14 months.

“I’ve given up drugs for good,” he stated in the interview.

He told his life-changing story about how he finally decided to stop using drugs.

“I realised that I needed to eat the humble pie, come down low and then see what God would do in my life if I chose a rehab centre. And trust me even since I stepped foot at the Chosen Rebab Centre my life has been transformed for good. I am now indomnitable like the sand, impeccable like the moon and inexplicable like the stars. This is the doing of the Lord and it is marvelous in our eyes,” he noted.

According to him, quitting drugs is nearly impossible if one does not set one’s mind to it and does not pray about it.

“It’s a spiritual thing, so if you take the spirituality out of cocaine and heroin addiction, you’ve missed the mark.” “Believe me,” he said.

Noah King, who used drugs for 25 years, said his addiction was so strong that he was even stealing money from the offertory bowl at church so he could buy crack.

He is currently receiving treatment at the Chosen Rehab Centre in Accra and has been appointed the center’s Communications Director.

Noah King was a Peace FM drive time presenter in the early 2000s.
