Running Mate to the NPP Presidential Candidate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has clarified his recent comments on President Akufo-Addo’s performance in comparison to Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
In a press statement, Dr Opoku Prempeh emphasised that he never intended to disrespect former President Dr Kwame Nkrumah or any other past heads of state.
He explained that his remarks reflect his personal opinion about President Akufo-Addo’s impact relative to other presidents Ghana has had.
Dr Opoku Prempeh acknowledged the concerns raised and sincerely apologised for any discomfort caused, expressing deep regret for any misunderstandings that may have arisen from his comments.
