Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr Ernest Addison, will begin his terminal leave on Monday, February 3, 2025, in preparation for his retirement.
In a statement, the bank confirmed that Dr Addison, who has served in the role since April 2017, will officially retire on March 28, 2025, after completing two full terms.
Further, the institution also expressed its appreciation for his outstanding service and dedication to both the bank and the nation, wishing him a restful retirement.
This move aligns with the Bank of Ghana Act, 2002 (Act 612), as amended, which caps the Governor’s tenure at two consecutive four-year terms.
