The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has launched a policy to train one million youth in digital skills, starting with 5,000 participants.
Addressing a constituency connect event in Kwadaso, he described the initiative as a transformative strategy for job creation and a “game changer” for employment. He stressed the need to equip the youth with digital skills to succeed in today’s digital-driven world.
“The youth need skills,We’ve already introduced technical and vocational training, but digital skills are now essential. From Kwadaso, young people can work remotely for companies in the US, Canada, or Singapore. Even school dropouts can benefit from this training.”
Further, he emphasised that the program would focus on areas like coding, allowing participants to work remotely and tap into global opportunities without leaving Ghana.
