Dr Bawumia Pledges To Train One Million Unemployed Youth

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has pledged to tackle unemployment in Ghana by training about one million young people in digital skills.

At his campaign launch in Akuapem North, Dr Bawumia told supporters job creation was his top priority.

Thus, announced his plan to equip one million youths with digital skills to open global employment opportunities for them, regardless of their educational background. He said,

“My goal is to train about one million people in digital skills because these skills lead to job opportunities.

Even if you don’t have a university degree, as long as you can read and write, we will provide digital skills training so you can work for companies abroad while staying in Ghana. You could work for firms in America, Canada, Japan, or the UK,”.

According to him, this initiative will bridge the skills gap and empower Ghanaian youth to compete in the global digital economy, addressing unemployment.
