Donald Trump has officially become the 47th president of the United States after the presidential oath, pledging to “preserve, protect, and defend” the Constitution.
In his inaugural address, Trump declared the “golden age of America begins right now” and promised the nation would become “greater, stronger, and more exceptional than ever before.”
He expressed confidence in the future, calling his presidency the “start of a thrilling new era of national success” and reaffirmed his commitment to his campaign slogan, “Make America great again.”
The U.S. follows a two-month transition period between elections, allowing the outgoing administration to hand over power to the new one.
