Nigerian singer Davido’s highly acclaimed wedding song, “Ogechi Remix,” has recently faced removal from YouTube due to copyright issues.
The music video, which Davido uploaded on July 19, 2024, showcased his love for his wife through its lyrics. However, recent reports reveal that YouTube has removed the video from Davido’s channel because of a copyright claim.
Although Davido released the song on their wedding day, featuring BoyPee, Hyce, and Brown Joel, and it gained rapid popularity, the video link shared on Davido’s X account now displays a message stating, “Video unavailable.”
This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by a King Lion official.” While the song’s audio remains on BoyPee’s official YouTube channel, the video itself is no longer accessible.
The specifics of the copyright dispute remain unclear. Nevertheless, reports suggest that another artist originally created the version of “Ogechi” that Davido remixed for this track.
Despite the controversy, Davido and Chioma’s extravagant wedding on June 25, 2024, which featured a live performance of the song, quickly made it a highlight of the year.
