David Adeleke, better known as Davido, a legendary singer from Nigeria, has given an explanation for why he decided not to include a tribute to his late son Ifeanyi Adeleke in his most recent album, titled “Timeless.”
Davido revealed that his intention was to make a classic album with few or no sad songs in order to prevent fans from becoming emotional about the loss of his kid. He made this statement on Monday during a press conference in advance of the upcoming ‘Timeless’ performance slated for April 23 in Lagos.
“Those who have been listening to music for a long time can attest to this. Whatever may be happening, I’ve always been a cheerful guy.If sad songs are released, it will be a completely other project because I never had any ideas for them.
