“Constitutional Review Not A Partisan Effort”-Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has emphasise that the constitutional review process is a national responsibility plan to strengthen Ghana’s governance, not a partisan effort.

Speaking at the launch of the Constitution Review Committee on January 30, he stressed the need for unity and collective effort in updating the nation’s legal framework.

“This initiative is not join to any political party; it is about Ghana. It is about ensuring our Constitution reflects the values, hopes, and dreams of every Ghanaian, regardless of their background or affiliation,” Mahama said.

Further, he also acknowledged the contributions of former Presidents John Evans Atta Mills and Nana Akufo-Addo, praising their efforts in initiating constitutional review processes in 2010 and 2023, respectively.

Additionally, the president urged the committee to engage actively with citizens to ensure the revised constitution aligns with the aspirations of all Ghanaians.
