The Civil and Local Government Service Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has announced a nationwide strike starting July 3, 2024.
The strike, as stated in a notice dated July 2, 2024, and signed by Isaac Bampoe Addo, Executive Secretary of CLOGSAG, is in protest against the government’s delay in implementing a new salary structure.
CLOGSAG claims that despite the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission’s approval and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) over a year and a half ago, the government has yet to put the proposed salary adjustments into effect.
Therefore, all members are instructed to refrain from work until further notice.
