Nana Kwame Bediako, known as Cheddar, has emphasised the need to protect and empower Ghanaian content creators as part of his vision for the creative sector.
In his plans for the creative sector, Cheddar proposed establishing a world-class studio in Ghana to position the country as Africa’s creative hub.
“Ghana is the Black Star of Africa; this studio belongs here. We must build it,” he stated.
Additionally , Cheddar also addressed the challenges facing the creative industry, particularly the ineffective collection of royalty due to inadequate infrastructure.
He explain that stronger protection of intellectual property (IP) rights and effective collection of royalties is by Ghana’s lack of the right system. The New Force is here to creat the proper mechanisms to enforce the Publishing Act and protect the IP of content creators.
Cheddar, who plans to lead Ghana in the future, unveiled his “12 Pillars of Economic Freedom” outlining policies aimed at improving the lives of Ghanaians.
