Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, has ignited a debate by claiming that Ghana is more enjoyable than London.
In an interview, Wontumi elaborated on his assertion, explaining that he moved his children to Ghana due to its favourable environment and lower cost of living.
He confidently stated,
“I always say Ghana is better than London. If I say so, am I joking, or is this a joking platform?”
In his view, Ghana’s appeal surpasses that of London, and he used his children’s relocation to the country as evidence of its advantages.
Moreover, Wontumi underscored Ghana’s progress by citing the Planting for Food and Jobs initiative as a reason for reduced food prices, mentioning that tomatoes now cost GHC 5.
This statement came in response to recent concerns about rising market prices.
Consequently, Wontumi dismissed worries about economic hardship, accusing the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of spreading propaganda.
