Written by Sarah Boye

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has urged party supporters to celebrate John Dramani Mahama’s reelection responsibly and with restraint.

Speaking after the Electoral Commission declared Mahama as President-Elect on December 9, Asiedu Nketiah cautioned supporters against actions that could spark tension or dissatisfaction among Ghanaians.

He urged party members to shift their focus toward fulfilling campaign promises and driving national development under Mahama’s leadership.

Reaffirming the NDC’s commitment to unity and inclusiveness, he stated,

“Celebrate modestly because the weight of responsibility rests heavily on our shoulders. Ghanaians have trusted us to rebuild the nation, and we cannot afford to fail. Let’s cut short the celebrations and begin serious planning to rescue Ghana.”
