Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) has resumed foreign exchange trading operations after the Bank of Ghana (BoG) reinstated its forex trading license.
In a statement, CBG management announced that the Bank of Ghana restored the licence on December 4, 2024, after the bank resolved compliance issues through close collaboration with the regulator.
“We are happy to announce that the Bank of Ghana has reinstated our foreign currency trading license,” CBG management stated.As of this date, all foreign currency services have fully resumed across our branches,” the statement said.
Further, customers can now access CBG’s full range of foreign exchange services, including currency buying and selling, at all branches nationwide.
“At CBG, we value our stakeholders and remain committed to delivering a secure, simple, and exceptional banking experience while ensuring full regulatory compliance,” the statement concluded.
The Bank of Ghana temporarily revoked the license due to multiple breaches of market regulations.
