Police prosecutors have informed the Asokore Mampong District Court that the case file for LilWin has been sent to the Attorney General’s Office.
The prosecution stated they are awaiting the Attorney General’s advice after submitting the case docket.
LilWin’s lawyer, Nana Bonsu Kyeretwie, emphasised the importance of this advice for their next steps. Kyeretwie said,
“The prosecution must prove its case for us to respond to any doubts raised by the police, but currently, we await the Attorney General’s advice as per his mandate,” as reported by Citinewsroom.
Consequently, the court has postponed the case to July 29, 2024, for further developments.
The accident occurred on May 25, 2024, when LilWin, allegedly speeding, collided with a vehicle carrying little Nana Yaw and his father, Jacob Kofi Ampomah.
He was released on GH¢50,000 bail with two sureties after his arrest on Monday, June 3, 2024.
