American rapper Cardi B, known privately as Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, has filed for divorce from Offset after seven years of marriage.
According to reports, she submitted the petition on Wednesday, July 31. This marks the second time the Bronx rapper has sought to end her marriage with Offset.
She had previously filed for divorce in September 2020 but withdrew the petition in November 2020, citing arguments and disagreements as reasons for her decision.
Despite her efforts to mend the marriage, Cardi and Offset are now pursuing a divorce, with Cardi reportedly seeking primary custody of their two children, aged six and three. This time, the divorce is likely to proceed.
In late 2019, Cardi B reflected on their relationship, revealing that she faced criticism, especially from women, for staying with Offset despite his infidelity.
